Connor's Trip to Australia

Connor flew on a big red Pacific Blue plane from Wellington to Brisbane. It was the first time Connor had ever been on a plane. He loves planes so it was very exciting!
We stayed with our friends James and Sandy and Ava and Charlie in Brisbane. We slept in their camping trailer. It was very noisy at night with lots of planes and loud birds and possums and fruit bats in the trees around the trailer. Connor had fun playing with the other children and their toys.
One day we went on a boat to the Science Museum and another day we went to Wet ‘n Wild. In the weekend we went with our friends on a boat to Stradbroke Island where we went to the beach.
When we were in Brisbane we visited Connor and Isaac’s grown up cousin Richard and his children Lily and Hamish.
We went and stayed with Uncle Arnold and Aunty Glennyce and Adela at Noosa. They had a swimming pool at their place so we all went swimming. Isaac went for lots of swims!
One day Isaac bought himself a boomarang and painted it and we went to the park and threw it. It worked well!
One night we went to the river and had fish and chips for tea. The birds were roosting in the trees and it was very noisy!

On the way back to the airport we stopped at Opals Downunder. There were lots of pretty stones there. The boys went into the fossicking patch and found a lot more stones for Isaac’s collection. Isaac loves collecting stones!
The last thing we did was go to Australia Zoo. We had a great time looking at the crocodiles, snakes and lizards. It was very exciting! Connor patted a snake and a koala and fed the kangaroos.
We had a good flight home, even though the airline wouldn’t let Isaac take the snake he had bought at the zoo home on the plane! It was too realistic and had to go in our luggage!
The plane was bumpy coming into Wellington and it was very late and cold when we got to Aunty Di’s house. Isaac and Connor’s cousins George and Emily came to play the next morning and brought their new toy snakes. So Aunty Di’s little house was full of snakes!
